Mercy General Hospital is proud to foster inclusion and diversity as part of our mission vision and values.ResponsibilitiesAs our Cardiac Nurse at Mercy General Hospital, you’ll care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events or conditions while helping their families navigate daily care and the long-term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital.You’ll never have the same day twice as your patients’ needs evolve. That’s why you must be adaptable and detail-oriented, observing vitals and reporting the warning signs early to our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, EKG techs, and other cardiovascular professionals.Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to go the extra mile for your patients and your strong assessment skills. Managing acute and implantable mechanical circulatory devices.

Continuous renal replacement therapy and caring for thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) and thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair (TAAA) patients with post-operative lumbar drains.

You will be trained in direct recovery of the post open-heart patient.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

Current California RN License

2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care unit

American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications

Preferred:

Critical Care experience in a Cardiac acute care setting
