We help our customers move the world.Position Overview:Siemens Mobility is GROWING and adding a new role to the Central Bids department in Sacramento, CA. We are seeking to hire a Bid and Requirements Coordinator. In this position you will play a critical role in our business development process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead timelines, and ensure successful execution of B2B bids, complex government RFPs, and proposals. Additionally, the Bid and Requirements Coordinator will support the Proposal Manager in creating compelling content.What your day-to-day will look like:
Bid Coordination - Lead the end-to-end coordination of bids and RFP responses, including initial review, planning, scheduling, and execution of proposal activities including bid processes, ensuring compliance and agility.Work closely with sales, engineering, legal, finance, and other internal teams to gather relevant information.Lead bid timelines, milestones, and deliverables and facilitate communication between teams to meet proposal deadlines,
Requirement Management - Gather and analyze project requirements from clients and stakeholders.Translate technical and functional requirements into actionable tasks.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of project scope and objectives.Work closely with the Proposal Manager to align requirements with proposal content.
Proposal Support - Assist the Proposal Manager in developing high-quality, customer-focused proposals.Collaborate with subject matter experts on expected deliverables.Assist the Proposal Manager with requirements, technical solutions, and proposal narratives.
Internal Compliance - Apply internal tools and systems to coordinate milestone completion and facilitate bid process transparency.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to track cost estimates.
Proposal Repository Management - Maintain a centralized repository of proposal materials, templates, and standard processes to streamline future proposal efforts and improve efficiency.
To thrive in this role, you have:
Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field, or 2+ years of relevant work experience in bid and requirements coordination.
Experience coordinating timelines and partners for B2B bids and larger more complex RFPs.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellently demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel 10% in North America.
Setting you apart from others would be a bachelor’s degree in business with 4+ years of experience in bid and requirements coordination in the railway industry.Experience with government RFPs and proposal management software (e.g. DOORs) is a plus.

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $70,800 - $95,700.
