Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description Lisa Cole with Robert Half is in search of an analytical and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the team of a great company located in Sacramento, California. In this role, your main function will be billing, accounts receivable, accounts collections and general accounting support. This is a direct hire position that will work in the office based in Sacramento. For immediate consideration, please call Lisa Cole at 916-649-0832.Responsibilities: Accurately processing, verifying, and preparing sales invoices for distribution to customers Posting and reconciling customer payments by recording cash, checks, and ACH transactions Investigating discrepancies and unidentified deposits and resolving them promptly Preparing and submitting timely reports and statements for both internal use and customer use Processing credit, debit memos, and charge backs as needed Administering aging reports and collecting past due balances Communicating with sales, customer service, and operations teams to coordinate handling of outstanding accounts Reviewing and recommending credit balance amounts and terms for new or changing customer accounts Creating and maintaining customer account information in the company system Assisting senior accountant in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings and reporting Participating in all financial audits and implementing accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.Requirements Qualifications: Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to generate and analyze Aging Reports Excellent numerical abilities for accurate calculations Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and priorities Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially MS ExcelRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
