We are Somadome. We produce technology enabled personal meditation spaces and sell them globally. To date we have placed domes in 18 countries total including USA, Canada, Mexico, Chile, UK, Denmark, Netherlands, China, Japan, Thailand, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Thailand, and South Africa. We are scaling rapidly and with it our need to build upon our current software systems and IT infrastructure. To this end, we are looking for a Software Systems Architect to work with our leadership team and manage the day to day IT operations.
We are looking for someone who can digest, follow and improve upon our existing roadmap to manage daily and long term IT needs, and is able to communicate with our team members in a clear and professional manner to ensure integration of software in daily operations.
High Level Role and Responsibilities -
Provide expert advice on all technology matters as it pertains to Company including:
Technology Roadmap Construction
Work closely with management to understand the vision for the future of the company as it pertains to product development and provide advice on the hardware and software infrastructure it requires in the form of a detailed technology development roadmap.
Mobile App Development
Take primary ownership of the Somadome mobile app when it comes to managing the successful launch, ongoing support, and the development of future versions that are in-line with the development roadmap.
High level oversight and project management of the app development process.
Interface between business and development teams to ensure the software being developed is meeting business requirements and is in line with the Company’s technology roadmap in the areas of user experience, customer service, ability for Company to provide adequate tech servicing, security, documentation of software and ensuring that the software can be seamlessly passed to another development team if needed, beta testing and app deployment for the current and future app versions, all within a predetermined timeline.
Hardware Development
Oversee the design and development of our new control boards and subsequent firmware. Advise on potential issues you see with the new designs before Company moves to production. Act as the liaison between management and the engineers for both projects to ensure the control boards being developed meet feature requirements needed as outlined in the company’s technology roadmap and also are being designed and built with components that ensure future supply chain stability.
Somadome Interface Software
Oversee the rebuilding and ongoing improvement of our onboard touchscreen interface software in the flagship Somadome product. Work with management during the roadmap creation to develop a clear development path to fix current bugs and continually enhance the user experience. This will include development and implementation of software to collect user data analytics tied to UI/UX.
On-going R&D Initiatives
AI/ML tied to user history and HRV biometrics - Drive the R&D process to help identify ideal input data types, develop an “open architecture” that allows us to accept and process data from the leading wearables and platforms currently collecting data that will allow us to provide an optimal in-dome experience, and also design this functionality in a way that is as open and transparent with the user as possible and provides the user a clear and easy path towards opting out.
