Mechanical Drafter/Designer (Grass Valley)

Currently hiring for full-time a Mechanical Designer/Drafter for a midsized manufacturing company in Grass Valley.Mechanical Designer/Drafter is responsible for working with the Engineering Manager and senior designers to develop design solutions, creates the necessary documentation, and initiate the internal processes for manufacturing. This candidate will also support manufacturing, Lean initiatives, and the Continuous Improvement culture.More specific details include: Completes work in support of engineering objectives under direction of the Engineering Manager and senior designers in accordance to Engineering standard work and processes Creates design solutions for customers ensuring products meet and exceed all customer and industry requirements Develops 3D solid models, designs and details various products within AutoDESK Inventor environment Designs and details various products within AutoCAD 2D environment Input and maintenance of part numbers, descriptions and bills of materials in our ERP system with the QuickBooks environment Supports Engineering projects through deliverables and quality work assignments Supports Manufacturing through various projects not limited to design Supports design, CAD, and Engineering systems verifying work exceeds Engineering standards and customer expectations Learns Engineering practices and develops business acumen Develops and revises Engineering procedures documenting best practice in department Participates in Lean Manufacturing and supports the Continuous Improvement cultureIf interested, please email your resume to [email protected] to be considered.
