What Does It Take To Join The Natomas Music Square Team?

Individuals who enjoy working with children and have a passion for music will excel in this role. Successful Violin Teacher candidates will have a creative and innovative approach to teaching and will be comfortable working with high school children.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

● Is reliable and punctual

● Has exceptional communication skills

● Possesses a creative and innovative mindset

● Is patient, compassionate, and considerate of others

● Has a passion for sharing their love of music with children

Position Responsibilities:

● Teach comprehensive and engaging private lessons to age 7+ of beginner to intermediate levels

● Create and implement innovative and dynamic violin lesson plans designed to keep students engaged and focused.

● Help children establish strong practice foundations by teaching finger exercise techniques designed to strengthen fine motor skills and coordination.

● Build positive relationships with students by employing effective communication skills and building positive rapport.

● Provide ongoing encouragement and support to students.

● Use compassionate communication techniques to provide constructive feedback and direction to improve student outcomes.

Requirements:

● Minimum of one year of youth music education experience preferred

● Extensive instrumental music performance experience

● Working knowledge of music theory and concepts

● Demonstrated ability to teach and direct students between 14-18 years of age

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Patient and kind demeanor
