Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Infant & Preschool Teacher with a valid State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Teacher's Permit to join our team.

The Infant Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants aged six weeks to 18 months in accordance with the goals and curriculum plan of Family Matters program.

The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment where children ages three to five years old can develop social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills through age-appropriate activities and curriculum. These individual will play a key role in supporting the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of the infants and Preschool in our care.

Responsibilities:

Create a safe and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of infants.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum for infants in accordance with the center's philosophy and policies.

Provide individualized care and attention to meet the unique needs of each infant.

Establish positive and supportive relationships with infants, families, and coworkers.

Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their child's progress and development.

Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

Adhere to all licensing regulations and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.

Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Valid Teacher's Permit issued by State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, including a minimum of three (3) units of infant/toddler coursework.

Previous experience working with infants in a childcare setting preferred.

Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Must pass background check and TB test.
