Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our accounting team as an Entry-Level Accounts Payable Clerk/Office Assistant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, specifically related to accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

1. Invoice Processing: Review and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain vendor logs and accounts payables records.

2. Data Entry: Code and enter invoice data into the accounting system with precision and attention to detail.

3. Verification: Verify accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents.

4. Communication: Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or obtain additional information and approvals as needed.

5. Payment Processing: Prepare and process weekly payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.

6. Ad Hoc Tasks: Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.

7. Office Assistant: Misc tasks related to managing office supplies and other admin support.

Qualifications:

1. Education: High School Diploma

2. Experience: Entry-level position; prior internship or academic experience in accounting is a plus.

3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with Quickbooks.

4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.

5. Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

6. Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain good vendor relationships.

7. Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.

8. Vehicle: Must have personal vehicle to do short in-town daily office errands (i.e. picking up/dropping off mail at local post office).

Background check will be required prior to employment.

Starting Pay is $18.00/hour. 20-25 hours a week.

Nice quiet office setting.

This is not a remote job offering.

Candidate will report to and work in our office in person.

Possibility for the position to change to Full-Time in future.
