As the company continues to grow, they are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our company’s financial health. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Manage project cost accounting, including tracking expenditures and budgets for construction projects.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support project decision-making.
Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate tracking of project costs and financial performance.
Conduct financial audits and coordinate with external auditors during the audit process.
Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
Assist with cash flow management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as needed.
Provide insights and recommendations to management on improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of financial accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software packages and strong Excel skills
