Payroll Clerk

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Roseville, California. This role is situated within the construction industry and requires a meticulous individual capable of handling a variety of tasks related to payroll and accounting. Responsibilities: Calculating and inputting payroll for a large number of employees. Running payroll and accounting reports regularly. Engaging in general office duties as required. Collaborating with the accounting department and Payroll Manager on various tasks. Utilizing basic math skills for payroll reporting. Ensuring all customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently. Maintaining accurate customer credit records. Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary. Utilizing Sage 100 in the performance of all duties. Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role Familiarity with general accounting principles Experience in data collection, entry, and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and regulations Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and particularly in MS Excel Outstanding organizational and time management skills Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving Certification from the American Payroll Association will be a plus Must have experience in using Sage 100 Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
