As an Associate Backend Process Engineer specialized in the semiconductor industry, your role is pivotal in developing and optimizing backend semiconductor manufacturing processes to meet the stringent requirements of this rapidly evolving and highly competitive sector. Specifically, this role would support one of the key backend areas: Final Wafer Test/Probe, Outgoing Inspection, Wafer Dicing, or Tape & Reel. In this role you will work closely with various departments to ensure the smooth operation of semiconductor fabrication processes and drive innovation in semiconductor manufacturing technology.Responsibilities:Engineering support of manufacturing and current manufacturing issues to ensure smooth operation and drive for on-time delivery, including monitoring of process indicators and introduction of countermeasuresOptimization and further development of existing manufacturing processes to improve performance of key process indicatorsIntroduction, qualification, and release of new processes and manufacturing methods as well as new productsPreparation and maintenance of workplace work instructions and execution of on-the-job training for manufacturing staffInteraction with both internal and external parties to order and manage equipment, spare parts, and auxiliary materials to support manufacturingCollaboration in the development, selection and introduction of new MAE, available options and accessories; planning and execution of process capabilities studiesInvestigation and decision making for problem batches and customer complaintsActively participate and focus on continuous improvement of manufacturing methods to improve yields, equipment availability to reduce costs, and improve qualityParticipate in interdepartmental and interdisciplinary teams and focus groups to respond to on-going engineering and manufacturing topics
