In this job, you’ll be the lead subject matter expert responsible for developing, implementing and driving adoption of Responsible AI standards across SCE. Additionally, you will be responsible for understanding industry trends in AI and ensure adaptive AI standards. You will work with a variety of stakeholders such as Information Architects, AI Developers, legal, business stakeholders/leadership and Enterprise Risk Management SMEs.As a Senior Advisor, AI Governance your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Collaborate with Digital Transformation peers including data analytics and AI/Machine Learning developers and data scientists to develop standards for responsible use of emerging standards.

Develop connections with industry peers, standard bodies, strategic vendors to benchmark and continuously improve

Build partnerships with stakeholders in Digital Process teams, Legal, and risk management to understand emerging technologies and associated risks

Drive implementation of standards across SCE, including plans for adoption, upskilling, and communicating new/changes to AI/ML standards

Develop plans to improve standards, including benchmarking with SCE peers, other industry leading standard bodies and vendor partners

Develop longer-term AI governance plans taking into consideration SCE’s future technical roadmap and emerging technology risks

The essentials

10 or more years of Standards development and implementation experience in Data or AI/ML or Technical Engineering/Architecture.

Experience with emerging technologies and associated risks on Company operations.

The preferred

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP) or DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)

Experience working with multiple Utility organizational units or lines of business to understand risks and implement standards and driving collaboration.

Experience planning, developing & implementing standards, Auditing and interacting with industry standard data organizations.

You should know

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
