Program Director for Adult Day Program

As a Program Director, you'll play a pivotal role in providing progressive and goal-oriented supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in the community. You'll have the opportunity to lead with compassion, creativity, and dedication, ensuring that our programs meet the unique needs of each individual.What You'll DoOversee day-to-day operations, staffing, and service delivery for a high-needs adult day programDevelop, implement, and evaluate individualized service plans (ISPs)Lead the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)Actively support individuals with complex behaviors and model intervention strategies for staffRespond to crises and ensure adherence to safety protocols and de-escalation techniquesCoach and mentor DSPs - leading by example on the floorConduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback, coaching, and developmentDeliver training on behavior support, trauma-informed care, and intervention techniquesEnsure compliance with Title 17, Title 22, CCL, Regional Center expectations, and internal policiesMaintain accurate documentation and lead quality improvement initiativesCollaborate with behavior analysts, psychologists, and medical professionals to adjust interventionsServe as a liaison for families, guardians, and external partnersFoster strong relationships with healthcare providers, community agencies, and support networksSkills & Competencies:Deep knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavioral intervention, and person-centered planningStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsProven ability to coach, develop, and guide diverse teamsAbility to remain calm, compassionate, and professional in high-stress situationsProficiency in electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office Suite
