Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk to be part of our team in the construction industry, based in Riverside, California. This role is crucial in managing our financial transactions, specifically in the area of customer credit. You will be directly involved in processing credit applications, maintaining credit records, and handling credit-related inquiries. You will also play a critical role in monitoring and managing delinquent payments.Responsibilities: Efficiently process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy at all times. Keep customer credit records up to date and accurate. Resolve customer inquiries related to credit swiftly and professionally. Monitor customer credit accounts, identifying and acting upon any delinquent payments. Generate invoices for customers based on services rendered. Manage billing disputes, working closely with customers and internal teams to achieve resolution. Process customer payments and maintain accurate records of transactions. Conduct account reconciliation activities to ensure all financial data is accurate. Make light collections calls when necessary to resolve payment issues. Prepare and provide aging reports and other specialty reports as required. Use QuickBooks Enterprise for Contractors and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts receivable (AR) Extensive experience in billing procedures and cash applications Demonstrated skills in cash collections and commercial collections Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
