Job Description SummaryAs the Product Sales Specialist for Cardiovascular (CV) Ultrasound, you will be responsible for creating and winning sales opportunities for CV Ultrasound products, solutions, and services by calling on cardiology customers. This role is both clinical and technical. You will be a sales expert for your assigned products and are expected to be able to differentiate GE’s offerings; convey compelling value proposition; lead the opportunity; qualify customer needs; develop and present solutions proposals and quotations; and respond to customers’ clinical, technical, and process questions to successfully close sales in the Southern California Market.GE Healthcare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating equipment capabilities on Cardiovascular (CV U/S) Ultrasound products in the Los Angeles, surrounding and Northern territories.

Developing in-depth knowledge of sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups.

Uses prior experience and acquired commercial expertise to execute policy/strategy.

In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Most decisions are within a defined framework, but some autonomy in the final decisions for a project, product line, market, sales process, or customers. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Individual contributor role, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Coordinate direct and channel partner sales efforts in outpatient facilities and within key hospital care areas.

Maintaining after-sale relationships.

Penetrating competitive accounts and communicating current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements.

Providing leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans to drive CV U/S sales.

Prospecting for new customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining our existing customer portfolio Annual and quarterly achievement of multiple sales and revenue targets.

Development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree completion.

3+ years of consultative sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation, or a Graduate of a GE Commercial Leadership Program, or 3+ years of GE Healthcare experience in customer facing role(s).

Ability to travel 50-80% depending on market needs and reside within territory

Desired Characteristics

Previous Healthcare high-end capital equipment sales experience, selling to managed care/hospital organizations.

Knowledge of Healthcare Information Systems, networking and IT.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Knowledge of Healthcare industry trends and marketplace (Cardiology knowledge preferred).

Cardiovascular Ultrasound clinical application and/or product knowledge.

Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization.

Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales offers.

Demonstrated strategic selling skills including customer presentations, price quoting, product demonstration, negotiation, closing and growing a sales territory.

Proven executive (CX0) relationship building skills in a hospital/healthcare environment.

Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process.

Strong communication and clear-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
