As Sr. Manager, International Business Management, you will oversee and optimize Balsam Hill’s current business performance in Canada and Australia, while evaluating expansion opportunities into select Pacific-adjacent regions—such as Latin America and Asia—where we currently have no footprint. You’ll define gotomarket strategy, test viable business models, achieve profitability targets, and build a repeatable framework for regional growth.  Reporting to the SVP of International, you’ll collaborate closely with marketing, e-commerce, logistics, wholesale, indirect, finance, legal, and product teams to enhance brand presence and revenue in these strategic markets. This full-time position and is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in-office. What you’ll do:  Regional Business Leadership, Performance Monitoring & Optimization Lead and optimize performance in Canada and Australia, ensuring alignment with revenue, margin, and brand goalsLead and optimize business performance in Canada and Australia, ensuring alignment with revenue, margin, and brand goalsDefine and track KPIs—including revenue, margin, conversion, CAC, and market penetration—using dashboards and analytics (in partnership with Data Insights and other teams) Conduct business reviews, surfacing key trends, risks, and opportunities, and delivering clear, insight-driven recommendations Drive seasonal pricing and promotional effectiveness through enterprise platforms and strong cross-functional alignment Drive cross-functional execution across ecommerce, marketing, logistics, finance, merchandising, legal, and operations to achieve regional goals Guide direct report(s) and partners by identifying growth opportunities, leveraging strengths, and developing talent for broader organizational impact Financial & P&L OwnershipDevelop and manage forecasts, budgets, and P&L performance at regional and pilot-market levels  Balance short-term profit targets with long-term growth, highlighting trade-offs and investment needs Market Expansion Strategy & Execution Assess new opportunities across Latin America and Asia-Pacific using market data, consumer insights, and feasibility criteria  Lead pilot initiatives to explore and validate new go-to-market models—marketplaces, wholesale, franchise, or distributor structures—for international growth beyond current markets Build business cases and lead go/no-go decisions grounded in data and operational readiness  Represent customer and market needs to influence product, pricing, and promotional decisions across global teams What you bring to the table:  10+ years in international business development, market entry, and leadership in retail or e-commerce  Proven track record launching or scaling into 2+ markets, ideally including Canada, Australia, Latin America or Asia Demonstrated end-to-end P&L management, forecasting, and budgeting  Strong execution in omnichannel environments—online, retail, and/or wholesale Cross-functional leadership experience with multiple business functions  Excellent analytical thinking and negotiation skills Very strong business acumen and sound judgment to make short and long-term decisions, even when data is scarce  Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred About Us: Balsam Brands is a global, omnichannel retailer with roots in holiday and home décor.
