Explore your future and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman's Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is seeking a Program Planning Manager 3 on our Schedule Management team in Redondo Beach CA. The Program Planning Manager 3 will report to the SSSD Schedule Management Director and will be responsible for all project level reporting for a dynamic new Operating Unit and will interface regularly with the Customer, Contracts, Human Resources, Compliance, and Security.This position provides supervision, guidance, and development to a staff of 10+ exempt schedule management analysts within the Comm Business Unit. This position requires thorough understanding and working knowledge of Program Management: Schedule CDRL deliveries, EVMS, Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Analysis, Proposal Development, team structures, Program Planning, Risk Management, Subcontract Management, corrective action process, team leadership as well as broad knowledge of systems and procedures. Interfaces regularly with Customer, Contracts, Human Resources, Compliance, and Security. Responsible for all project level reporting, customer counterpart interface and maintaining customer relationship.This role requires the candidate to have an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) and/or eligibility to acquire a Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Clearance.Responsibilities include:

Understanding and working knowledge of Schedule Management, Schedule Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliveries Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Schedule Risk Analysis, Critical Path Analysis, Proposal Development, Program Planning, Risk Management, Corrective Action process, and team leadership

Leadership and direction to a staff of Schedule management personnel

Interface with internal program/division executive leadership and customer leadership

A broad knowledge of aerospace/defense industry and procedures

Management of program business/schedule systems and coordinating monthly business processes to enable the delivery of successful products to the program and customer

Facilitating improvements in processes, compliance, procedures, software and Ad Hoc program activities and influence architecture requirements to improve efficiencies

High acumen for problem solving as this role requires the identification of issues and problems across multiple contracts in order to make recommendations to management for resolution

Resources planning and staffing; employee engagement, staff development, including employee goal setting, annual reviews, and issues resolution

Basic Qualifications:

An active DoD TS and/or SCI Clearance

Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience in business management to include program scheduling and planning OR a Master's Degree and 6 years of stated experience

Leadership Experience

Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVMS)

High level of proficiency with MS Project, MS Office Tools

U.S. Citizenshi

Current or previous experience working with restricted customers

Salary Range: $164,300 - $246,500The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
