Custom Personnel has a client seeking a Medical Biller for their Office. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in healthcare, strong analytical skills and a positive attitude. The medical biller is a crucial part of our team, and the position requires a reliable and detail-oriented individual who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure accurate, efficient billing.
Ensure correct entry of billing data
Proficiency in medical terminology and insurance designations
Obtain prior authorizations
Submitting claims
Follow-up on accounts i.e., contacting patients, insurance companies and working aging reports
Payment posting
Follow-up on insurance denials
Submitting weekly patient statements
Preparing accounts for collections
Answering incoming phone calls
Other tasks as assigned
Qualities Desired:
Medical Terminology required
Knowledgeable in ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work efficiently with deadlines
Ability to prioritize responsibilities
Proficiency using Microsoft Office products
