You can also connect with me on LinkedIn at (linkedin/in/brendan-steele-177770101/).Notes:· Get dozens of project requests each month – going out and estimating what’s needed for the install· Need to be familiar with full network refreshes, access control uplifts, new constructions, etc.· Roughly 250 logged projects – 150 of them are active and 100 of them are infrastructure-related (getting more and more that are larger in scope and more complex)· Have 700 different locations spread around the US and US territories (a lot of infrastructure)· Put together a proposal, establish a design process, gather requirements, etc.· Typically always building-related tasks around networking / infrastructure, floor plans, road maps / blue prints / equipment specs & lists· Utilize Visio or various applications to help generate the design plans and notate essential requirements for different projects· Project Example: One in San Pedro, CA that requires an estimate on re-building a new site (wiring, surveillance cameras, network uplifts, architect new solutions to improve the overall infrastructure, etc.)· Project Example: One in Mesa, AZ that has a few old cameras that are in need of replacements (security cameras, access control on doors, etc.)· Project Example: One in Hula, AK where their site needs a new internet plan (they design the specs and then have a local install crew/vendors go out and handle the workload)Requirements · Need to have a drive to learn different product specs, hardware, vendor equipment, and the ever-changing landscape of infrastructure as a whole· Need to understand physical buildings and infrastructure (inclusive of wireless access points, Wi-Fi, internet, cameras, MDF/IDF, PoE, cabling, network hardware, access control, overall construction, etc.)· Need to understand how to do site evaluations, project detail gathering, floor plans/blueprints, network infrastructure, connections, internet, hardware, infrastructure, etc.Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
