To ensure bar guests are satisfied in a prompt, timely manner by supervising the bar staff during the shift. ResponsibilitiesBase Responsibilities:
Have full knowledge of all menus and beverage menus.
Have full knowledge of responsible alcohol service.
Proper setup and breakdown of area and service station.
Provide the highest quality guest interactions - be pleasant, friendly and polite to everyone.
Keep working area neat and clean.
Multi-task several guests and duties at once, maintaining the highest levels of service.
Take beverage orders from guests.
Enter in orders to the computer ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage walk-up and seated guests appropriately.
Prepare beverages for servers from printed tickets.
Prepare beverages quickly and efficiently, following written and visual standards.
Follow service standards and best practices at all times.
Complete end of shift financials per Omni Rancho SOP’s.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Lead Bartender Responsibilities:
Create and maintain on-boarding manual for beverage operations in Bluember/R-Bar.
Develop and implement daily/weekly/monthly bar cleaning routines.
Conduct TIP’s certification training and ensure compliance
Develop and conduct monthly training on beverage related topics.
Ensure beverage compliance as per Omni Beverage Committee guidelines.
Prepare nightly liquor requisitions.
Create and maintain a Bluember/R-Bar liquor and wine tasting guidebook for service staff.
Work with managers, vendors and culinary to develop a wine by the glass pairing guide/tasting flights for the Bluember Dinner Menu with the goal of increasing beverage spend per cover.
Develop locally inspired wine and cocktail specials to enhance guest engagement and drive beverage revenue.
Attend all safety trainings.
Monthly inventory in conjunction with managers.
Qualifications
1+ year of food/beverage service preferred.
Knowledge of food and beverage service.
Previous bartending experience.
Good verbal and written skills.
Knowledge of Micros preferred.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Able to lift and carry 20 pounds routinely, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Good up-selling skills.
Great customer service and a positive attitude.
Ability to obtain Riverside County Food Handlers Card, TIPS & RBS training.
TIP’s certified trainer, or ability to obtain Instructor certification.
Must be available weekends and holidays.
Must have flexible schedule, work weekends and holidays.
Pay: $18/hour. The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
