Environmental EngineerJob DescriptionWork in the field of environmental site assessments, brownfields, site investigations, and remediation activities. The candidate will work with a team and will receive regular feedback and opportunities for skill development.Responsibilities
Conduct multi-media sampling
Perform field audits and inspections
Organize and review data
Write and support preparation of technical reports
Support field investigations
Perform or support preliminary site assessments, brownfields assessments, site inspections, and/or site investigations on sites with potentially hazardous substances
Essential Skills
2 to 6 years of professional environmental science experience
Experience in the environmental industry with demonstrated experience conducting site investigations, remedial investigations, and practical field experience performing multi-media sampling including groundwater, soil, and soil gas
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience supporting remedial design, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality, ecological restoration, radiological issues, and/or water resources
Strong analytical skills related to qualitative and quantitative data
Strong technical and non-technical writing skills
Information and data analysis
Ability to work on multiple project teams simultaneously
Strong organizational skills
Highly motivated and able to work well in a team environment
Ability to travel around Bay Area/California projects
Work EnvironmentThe work involves both office and field environments. A physical capacity for working outdoors is required. This position requires you to drive on a regular basis and will require passing a motor vehicle record (MVR) bkg check. You must maintain a good driving recordPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.17 - $43.27/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
