Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion.Responsibilities:
Process and manage payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations.
Maintain payroll records, including employee hours, deductions, and tax information.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including pay discrepancies.
Prepare and submit payroll reports as required by management and regulatory authorities.
Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee compensation and deductions.
Assist in preparing year-end reports, including W-2s and tax filings.
Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and tax laws.
Perform other payroll-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
Understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
High school diploma required; associate’s degree or certification in payroll or accounting is a plus.
