In this role, the successful candidate will be supporting the development of systems that provide new mission capabilities. This position involves close collaboration with other engineering personnel to tackle a variety of engineering challenges, working on moderately complex projects or specific phases within larger complex projects. Responsibilities entail analyzing, investigating, and resolving engineering issues, and applying technical knowledge and independent judgment during project development. Test data is obtained and analyzed, with findings documented and solutions communicated to project engineering staff. Communication primarily occurs internally within the project team, with potential guidance provided to design staff or technicians.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Apply technical knowledge to analyze and resolve routine engineering problems.

Conduct functional testing of engineering projects and systems using standard engineering and scientific principles.

Acquire and analyze test data.

Document findings and solutions, communicate results to project engineering staff, and potentially deliver technical presentations.

Provide guidance to design staff or technicians.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Perform assigned duties and responsibilities.

Adhere to all laws, regulations, and obligations, working safely in accordance with established procedures and practices.

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution and relevant technical experience preferred.

Background in aircraft electronics is required.

Strong knowledge of RF, power, and digital systems is required.

Soldering and experience in airworthy cable assembly and design and the ability is preferred. IPC Certifications a plus.

Proficiency in basic engineering concepts, principles, and theory is required. Ability to apply standard techniques, utilize required diagnostics, tools, and equipment while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance is required.

Experience working in a lab environment and using engineering tools such as DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Signal Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, etc. is required.

Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them in a dynamic engineering setting is required.

Basic machinery and mechanical assembly skills are required.

Proficient computer skills and strong interpersonal communication abilities are required. Ability to effectively present findings and results to team members and leadership is required.

Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearance is required.

Ability to support CONUS and OCONUS travel is desired.

Experience in the integration of podded aircraft systems is desired.
