Position Summary: Continuously patrols hospital buildings and premises to ensure that safety/security is maintained. Monitors vehicles parking in or driving through hospital parking lot. Provides security for Associates, customers and visitors. Protects hospital buildings, assets and premises as assigned. May perform other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications [Required] Valid California Driver's License and must be eligible to be covered by the hospital insurance carrier. High School Diploma or equivalent. Current Guard Card; Baton Card and Pepper Spray Card – issued by Consumer Affairs. BLS or AHA (American Heart Association) HeartSaver certification or the ability to obtain within fourteen (14) days of position classification. Must have the ability to obtain physical restraint training within thirty (30) days of position classification. A good working knowledge of local and State laws and ordinances. An additional eight (8) hours annually pursuant to Business and Professions Code Section 7583.6(f) (1).[Preferred Qualifications] Prior experience working in a healthcare environment, security or related field.
