As the Principal Manager of Field Operations, you’ll lead 9 Senior Supervisors, and a team of around 100 electrical system inspectors (ESI) who conduct ground and aerial field inspections across the SCE service territory. In this job, you’ll oversee all field operational activities related to safety leadership, inspections quality oversight for GO95 and GO165 compliance and wildfire mitigation activities to prevent ignitions. Additionally, you’ll make operational decisions regarding daily resource plans for execution of annual scope for all inspection programs, integration and tracking of new technologies, and management of key initiatives that are needed to efficiently implement SCE’s inspections program activities necessary to meet WMP and company goals.As an Field Operations and Inspections Principal Manager , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Oversees and drives the planning, design, and operation of electric transmission and distribution systems, developing and maintaining the strategic technology plans and roadmaps for the company energy delivery systems
Leads the development and integration of broad and complex business process improvement initiatives as well as the integration and alignment of organizational transformation initiatives, including change management
Leads the overall coordination of processes related to budgeting, estimating, forecasting, accounting and work order management, providing support to existing engineering projects or packaging proposals for future projects
Oversees and ensures company policies are followed and implements recommendations regarding staffing decisions
Develops and leads the implementation of innovative cost savings projects (capital and operational) and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and supply, managing the company's capital budgets for electrical infrastructure and energy projects
Manages the implementation and compliance of the firm's global delivery framework to drive revenue, profit and cash management in order to meet or exceed budget and forecasts
Designs facilities for new and existing customers according to company energy delivery services construction standards and interprets administrative instructions for consistent and cost-effective designs
Oversees complex operational analyses and leads medium to large project teams that support informed decision making within the business unit
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
Seven or more years managing/supervising an organization/unit or seven or more years project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Experience with GO95 and GO165 compliance standards
Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
Experience with drone technology
Effective communication and relationship building across departments and business units
Ability to manage numerous projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to support regulatory filings and data requests
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
