As a Principal IT Engineer - Applications for the IT Laboratory Portfolio, while focusing on integration development, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, design, implementation, documentation, coding, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of Lab applications developed for our business partners. As a member working in a team environment, you will work in conjunction with other IT Engineers and Solution Consultants on development and implementation activities. You will work in a team with strong skills in various Laboratory Application, such as Cerner Millennium, EPIC Beaker, Wellsky Bloodbank, various Middleware Solution and many others. You will implement, troubleshoot, and optimize solutions based on business needs and requirements. Primary coding responsibility are for Cerner Millennium Integration Solutions. Leads, mentors, and trains other technical resources to develop software applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (e.g., SDLC).
Minimum two (2) years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum eight (8) years experience in software development or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
