Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable/Collections detail oriented to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis. As the Accounts Receivable specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing, maintaining customer relationships, and facilitating timely payments. Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred, with a focus on construction releases, preliminary notices, and mechanic’s liens. Responsibilities: Generate accurate billing and releases for customers and general contractors, maintaining organized tracking of billing. Prepare billing worksheets and collaborate with Project Managers as necessary. Maintain spreadsheets and update information as needed. Foster and maintain positive customer relationships, communicating effectively to request payments and arrange payment plans. Collect payments from customers and accurately record transactions in the system. Update client accounts based on payment or contact information changes. Coordinate with Accounts Payable to collect vendor releases and send vendor release packages to customers. Create and maintain reports related to accounts receivable activities. Keys for Success: 2+ years of accounts receivable experience in the construction industry preferred, with a strong understanding of construction releases, preliminary notices, and mechanic’s liens. Experience in the construction industry is required, demonstrating familiarity with industry-specific processes and procedures.
