Description Our client is seeking a dedicated AP/AR Specialist for a short-term contract in Orange County. The AP/AR Specialist will be primarily involved in various accounting functions, including data entry activities, managing and investigating open/aged invoices in the system, and working directly with the Controller. Responsibilities: Undertake daily data entry activities, including vouching vendor invoices in the system and cash posting of customer payments. Manage weekly vendor payment processing and optimize vendor discounts by processing invoices and payments timely. Investigate open and aged invoices in the system to resolve any discrepancies. Process and reconcile advance payments to vendors to ensure accuracy and maintain aged receipts not vouchered to a minimum balance by daily vouchering. Handle daily cash receipt processing for payment received from customers per bank statement. Conduct daily collection calls and emails to customers for past dues invoices and maintain AR past dues to target goals. Collaborate with the credit manager for new customer credit establishments and review and release orders on hold on a daily basis to support shipment and production. Assist with year-end audit requirements and special projects as needed. Use accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting functions and manage accounts payable and receivable using SAP.
