Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist to join our team based in Pittsburg, California. In this role, you will be tasked with managing and processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving inquiries. The job function involves regular interaction with accounting software systems and requires a keen eye for detail.Responsibilities:Process A/P Invoices & Checks: Ensure invoices are approved, correctly calculated, and match printed checks; handle vendor payments, discount opportunities, tax verification, and payment discrepancies.Vendor Communication: Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.Expense Report Processing: Verify employee expense reports for approvals and proper receipts.Vendor Statement Reconciliation: Investigate and correct any discrepancies in vendor statements.GL Coding: Ensure accurate general ledger coding for invoices and expense reports by analyzing and recording entries.Vendor Management: Set up new vendors, maintain vendor records, and ensure completeness, including W-9 documentation.Annual Tax Filings: Prepare and issue 1099 tax filings.Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist with accruals and reconciliation.Payroll Support: Help with payroll data entry and other assigned payroll tasks.Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in accounts payable.
Work Ethic: Detail-oriented, responsible, self-motivated, and diligent.
Communication & Organization: Strong written and verbal skills with excellent organizational abilities.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Team Player: Works well collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP Knowledge: Experience with the full-cycle AP module.
Payroll Systems: ADP Workforce experience is a plus.
