Coordinates with proposal units on RFP responses to brokers and groups and maintains various system updates for proposal and sales activity for more complex groups.

Works with Sales Account Executives and Account Management personnel in selling, servicing and retaining brokers and clients.

Assists in the development and oversees the implementation of policies and procedures.

Evaluates and recommends changes in procedures or methods in areas that affect the sales support team.

Responsible for understanding document and procedure requirements for group case installation, including performing quality peer review audits for completeness and accuracy.

Coordinates training and communication of procedure changes for sales assistants and sales representatives.

Completes projects and serves as role/project specialists as requested by sales directors.

Directly supports the Sales Managers in the regions assigned in the acquisition of new business, in such activities as open enrollment meetings, administrative projects and support team activities for complex groups.

Coordinates Sales system and reporting activity (i.e. Salesforce.com) to include reporting support and data validation, peer-to-peer quality review and audit, triage and issue resolution, updates and enhancement, and procedure maintenance.

Assists in training of Sales Support Specialists or Sales Assistants.

Requires a BA/BS; 3 years related sales/marketing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Managed care / healthcare insurance industry experience strongly preferred.

Salesforce.com experience a plus.

Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment required.

Incumbent must be highly organized, detail oriented and possess the ability to complete things accurately and on time.
