Description Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client looking for a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will file federal and state tax returns and work with financial and income tax statements, ensuring they comply with tax laws. Identify tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings and create solutions
Manage the company's tax database and put together tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports
Recommend ways to improve profits and identify legal tax savings
Stay informed on tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in detail oriented organizations, keeping up with detail oriented networks and reading detail oriented publications
Oversee tax preparation work that is outsourced
Guide management on the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
Ensure client compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations
Accurately assemble annual and quarterly tax reports Requirements - Must have strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
CPA highly preferred
2+ years of public or corporate tax
Outstanding organizational skills
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
