Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our agriculture operations in Pasadena, California. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable team, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in our processes, and managing relationships with vendors. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing payment workflows, and preparing accounts payable reports. Key Responsibilities: Supervise the daily operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Continuously improve accounts payable processes to boost efficiency and ensure high levels of accuracy. Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving any payment discrepancies or issues promptly. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Manage the payment processing workflow, including the generation of payment batches and coordinating approvals. Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, using these insights to make recommendations to management. Train and mentor accounts payable staff, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls related to accounts payable processes. Address any escalated issues or concerns related to accounts payable in a prompt and effective manner. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support as needed. Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role within the manufacturing, distribution, or agricultural industries Demonstrable proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP) Proven experience in conducting check runs and coding invoices Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy Proficiency in processing invoices in a timely and efficient manner Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets and reports Experience with Oracle for database management and QuickBooks for accounting purposes Familiarity with SAP for enterprise resource planning Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
