Description We are currently partnering with a dynamic company in need of a Staff Accountant to support their finance team. As a Staff Accountant , you will have the opportunity to work with a reputable company, assisting them with financial operations and compliance related to the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) program and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Your role will involve reconciling payroll data, confirming wage utilization status, and ensuring adherence to program guidelines.
Collaborate with the client's finance team to gather necessary information and documentation related to the Employee Retention Credit program.
Analyze payroll data to determine eligible wages under the Employee Retention Credit program guidelines.
Conduct thorough reviews of employee payroll records to confirm wages that were not utilized under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
Assist in the preparation and submission of documentation required for ERC and PPP compliance.
Stay updated on changes to relevant tax laws, regulations, and guidelines related to ERC and PPP to ensure accurate interpretation and application.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and comprehensive financial data related to ERC and PPP.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency in ERC and PPP compliance activities.
Assist with other accounting and financial tasks as needed, including month-end close processes, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Requirements
Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements related to Employee Retention Credit program and Paycheck Protection Program.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
