Walkthrough Inspector Job Summary:
The Walkthrough Inspector position shall have the following two (2) essential functions: (i) conducting point by point inspections of the vacation properties managed by the Company and identifying any maintenance or repair issues that need to be fixed; and (ii) tracking supplies and ensuring the vacation properties managed by the Company are always adequately stocked. The Walkthrough Inspector shall often be the “last set of eyes” to see a vacation home before guests arrive. In consideration thereof, the Walkthrough Inspector’s role is critical in maintain the Company’s high level of quality for the vacation properties it manages.
Pay and Benefits:
$20/hr.
Paid Sick Leave and Vacation Pay.
Schedule:
Work schedule is 20-30 hours per week and very flexible. You create your own schedule and send it to our manager for approval by Sunday. You may be asked to conduct an emergency house run if supplies are needed. Given that this is the hospitality industry, ability to work weekends is a must. You may be required to work on holidays during which holiday pay will be 1.5x the regular pay.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Walkthrough Inspector shall fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:
Be responsible for a select number of properties.
Walk through properties to inspect for any maintenance issues.
Walkthrough properties to check inventory of supplies and ensure everything is adequately stocked.
Submit the schedule of weekly walkthroughs by Sunday.
Conduct urgent house runs if a property needs last minute supplies.
Use the Breezeway software to report any maintenance issues.
Provide an itemized list of needed supplies for the properties.
Provide detailed communication through the Company’s internal Slack channel with a sense of urgency.
Attend Monday morning weekly team meetings.
Make recommendations to improve the Company’s service and operations.
Conduct inventory count of supply closet and ensure all such supplies are organized.
Perform minor fixes while conducting a walkthrough that do not need to be reported to the maintenance team or cleaning staff, such as replacing light bulb, changing out batteries, dusting a missed area, tightening a loose screw, etc.
Required Skills and Experience
Previous experience in hospitality, property management, hotels or similar industry is preferred
Strong attention to detail – the Walkthrough Inspector must easily recognize issues that need to be corrected
Tech savvy; if your WIFI disconnects and you have no idea how to reset it than this is not the job for you!
Working vehicle and ability to travel between our rentals throughout Coachella.
Have a “see it, fix it” attitude. The Walkthrough Inspector must take the initiative to straighten a crooked picture frame, fluff a pillow, dust a missed area, etc.
Engage in clear, detailed, and thorough communication.
Plus if you are located in Indio, CA where most of our STRs are located.
