Description:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Cement Worker to join our team. for the City of Palm Desert. As a Cement Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the mixing, pouring, and finishing of concrete. This position requires a strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
-Pour, level, and smooth concrete for foundations, sidewalks, driveways, floors, and other concrete structures.
-Mix concrete, using hand tools or machines, to achieve the proper consistency.
-Set forms for concrete and ensure they are properly aligned and secured.
-Finish surfaces using tools such as trowels, floats, and brushes.
-Assist with the preparation of the work site, including cleaning and maintaining equipment and tools.
-Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
-Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time.
Job Requirements:
-Proficient in concrete finishing
-Experience in forming, concrete demolition, and grading
-Skilled in the use of hand tools and pneumatic tools
-Proficient in masonry
