The room housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a welcome, relaxing, clean and safe environment for our guests. Must speak fluent English as there is a lot of guest interaction. Shifts consist of morning and evening shifts. Azure Palm Hot Springs Resort in Desert Hot Springs, CA is looking for a housekeeper to join team. Must speak English. Bilingual a plus! We are located on 67589 Hacienda Ave. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.
Responsibilities
Provide clean, neat, and functional guest rooms in accordance with the policies, standards, and guidelines established by Azure Palm Resort
Service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures and practices.
Restock storage rooms when necessary
Works in a fast-paced environment with time constraints and timing deadlines related to production standards and requirements.
Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Manager, Lead Housekeeper or Management.
Conduct duties in a courteous, safe, and efficient manner.
Greet all guests with a proper salutation.
Interact with guests and be able to assist the guests and their housekeeping related requests.
Be responsible for signing out, securing, and returning of hotel passkeys for each day worked.
Maintains a professional appearance in appropriate uniform.
Complies with hotel’s health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Ensures the safety and well-being of guests by checking guest occupancy and verifying that rooms have been vacated and reports any inconsistencies to the Housekeeping Manager, Lead Housekeeper, or Hotel Management.
Follow all procedures when responding to any hotel emergency or safety situations, including but not limited to, handling blood-borne pathogens, sharps, etc.
Participates in Emergency Procedure as per hotel’s Policy & Procedures
Immediately reports and turns over found items to Housekeeping Office in accordance with hotel procedures.
Adheres to the hotel’s lost and found policies and procedures.
Perform duties assigned by Housekeeping Manager, Lead Housekeeper, or Hotel Management Staff, which may include Laundry Attendant, Houseman and/or Public Areas Attendant duties.
Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the management.
Qualifications
Ability to manage time effectively to ensure completion of tasks.
Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen effectively in English.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under little supervision.
