- Develop long-term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction tasks.
- Aid Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials and parts.
- Support supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase supplier capability of consistently meeting Haas requirements. Projects may include: process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput, Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen events.
- Analyze and effectively resolve manufacturing and assembly related problems.
- Maintain established supplier rating system, initiating corrective action for non-compliance and reporting on cause.
- Perform random audit of work instructions, process control sheets, and test procedures. Initiates cause and corrective action and reports the results.
- Analyze cause and corrective action activities exposed through audits and reviews accomplished. Report on trends and results monthly.
- Drive corrective actions for Field Failures with a sense of urgency and teamwork.
- Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Verify the implementation of solutions.
- Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc. Additionally, there are high value items that require proper care and protection.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Proficient in utilizing all department software, including CAD programs, Office products, SAP, and specialized software (GageTrak, Q-Plus).
- Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.
