ResponsibilitiesIn keeping with the Dignity Health core values: assess, plans, implements, evaluates and coordinates education and training programs for a variety of clinical and support staff. The person performing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to high level of customer satisfaction the most cost-effective manner with respect and dignity. Under the direction of the Director of Education with communication lines to the specialty Directors, the Clinical Education Coordinator provides clinical, educational, and performance improvement leadership for personnel involved in the care of patients. Utilizing a wide range of problem solving skills, functions as a leader, practitioner, educator, consultant, and researcher.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
CA Registered Nurse License
BLS Certification
MSN DegreeA minimum of 2, preferably 5 years experience as a nurse educator with an emphasis on adult learning. Nurse preceptor experience, in addition to nurse educator experience, may be considered.
Instructor certification required within 3 months of employment applicable to clinical specialized area. May include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, NRP, Trauma Core or TNCC
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years experience in OB/L & D
