Learn more at www.dignityhealth.org/StJohnsRegional.ResponsibilitiesAs our Telemetry Nurse at St. John's, you’ll put your nursing skills and knowledge to the test as you closely monitor your patients’ vitals like blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rhythms, and respiration. You’ll also put patients and their loved ones at ease by explaining test results in a way they can understand and make significant healthcare decisions. Each day you’ll serve as a key member of our nursing team by working with our doctors and other clinical specialists to closely observe patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. You’ll build trust in these interactions by learning new concepts and applying what you know in real-time to provide solutions for real people. Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to provide great care, learn new things, and ability to communicate effectively with peers, patients, and patients' loved ones.In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the Clinical Nurse II is an experienced Practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing, patient care and the ability to practice independently. The Clinical Nurse II also serves as a resource person as well as a preceptor. Under minimal supervision, the Clinical Nurse II identifies and implements nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes and evaluate the results of these interventions for a given patient population.This position is represented by SEIU, Local 121RN, and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Current California Registered Nurse license.
Current CPR, ACLS & PALs certification required.
Six (6) months current medical/surgical nursing in an acute care setting or specialty area experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Other certification as specified by area of practice preferred.
