Handyman Needed to Create DIY Content for Social Media – $40/hr or 65k/year (Orange County, CA)
Are you a DIY enthusiast who loves creating projects and teaching others?
Crafty Amigo (craftyamigo.com) is an innovative platform where users can design their own DIY projects using our 3D tool. We’re looking for a charismatic handyman with experience in building and creating who can help us produce engaging, educational content for our growing online community.
Who You Are:
Skilled in DIY projects (e.g., sheds, decks, basic plumbing, basic electrical work)
Bonus: Experience with cars, Arduino, welding, or building go-karts
Comfortable and confident in front of a camera – we want someone who can connect with an audience
What You'll Do:
Answer questions in forums (like Reddit) to help DIYers. For example, posting free plans that we can produce in our app for users looking for plans.
Create how-to videos for social media (answering basic questions about materials, techniques, etc.)
Write simple articles to accompany your videos, breaking down basic concepts for our audience (e.g., common PVC parts)
Requirements:
Must be located in or around Orange County, CA
Available to meet in person 2x a week for planning and brainstorming
Use your own tools (we’ll buy or cover anything you’re missing)
Use your own recording equipment (we can help if you need anything)
Compensation:
$40 per hour, with no minimum hours. We’ll agree on weekly video/post targets, and you’ll bill us based on hours worked. There should be enough work for around 30-50 hours per week. After the first 2 months, we can look into full time employment if you're interested at around 65k/year. We can discuss this more in person.
