THE COMPANY'S DIRECTOR MARK WEISS HAS BEEN INVOLVED WITH THE PERFORMING ARTS SINCE HIGH SCHOOL. BOTH ON STAGE AS A PERFORMER AS WELL AS WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES WHERE HE LEARNED ALL ASPECTS OF PRODUCING A SUCCESSFUL SHOW. Frogmouth Productions in Irvine, CA is looking for part-time and full-time audio visual production crew members to join our team. We provide audio visual support including theatrical lighting, audio systems, LED displays, video content, portable staging, draping, and flooring for ballroom dance events across the country. Our ideal candidate is a punctual, reliable, hard working team player. who is a good problem solver and willing to work all aspects of setting up, running, and cleaning up the events we service as well as driving gear to and from events. You should be comfortable working on ladders up to 12’, driving a box truck (26 GVW no CDL required) and willing to travel to events in various cities throughout the country. Responsibilities Loading and unloading gear on and off trucks. Setting up of audio visual equipment, staging, pipe and drape, and portable dance flooring in hotel ballrooms locally and across the country. Clean up audio visual equipment, staging, pipe and drape, and portable dance flooring. Some operations of audio visual equipment during evening performances (audio mixing, lighting console, content provider for LED displays) Shop hours to include gear and flooring maintenance, shop upkeep, loading and unloading trucks Driving of a 26' commercial box truck to and from various job sites (trucks are under 26 GVW, no CDL needed) Shifts vary and are typically: 6 to 10 hours for Load-In and 3 to 6 hours for Load-out. AV operations typically 4 hours during the evening sessions of events. Content providers work on and off throughout the run of an event. Shop hours are typically 6 hour shifts when needed throughout the week for gear maintenance, loading and unloading of trucks, and other needed tasks. Qualifications Must be willing to regularly travel throughout the country for working at events. (travel expenses covered) Hands on experience in the audio visual industry is helpful Able to work with and move heavy equipment Comfortable working on ladders up to 12' tall Current driver's license and a medical card for driving trucks.
