Job description:
Our shop is in immediate need for a Quality Control Inspector to Perform routine visual and dimensional inspection and check parts for surface defects, shifts, contours, cleaning, chipping, grinding, blowholes, etc., using standard and prescribed methods, procedures and gauging devices
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain facility quality systems
Oversee painting processes and safety
Maintain systems for checking and verifying process compliance
Ensure effective training in quality control
Performs inspections of raw materials and assemblies made to blueprint
Ensures precise conformance to specifications, tolerances, and workmanship standards
Documents, maintains and records inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database
Identification and maintenance of non-conforming product.
Report findings of quality control audit to the manager.
Requirements:
experience in QC/QA inspection
Excellent writing and verbal skills
Familiarity with MS Word and Excel
Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
General mechanical inspection capabilities
Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings/prints
Must be able to use calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc.
Must be able to communicate with production personnel
Must be able to analyze information and report research results
Must have excellent documentation skills
Must be able to read and write English.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
