Melissa is looking for a Data Systems Administrator to serve as a primary point of contact for data system functions, management of backups, data systems updates and system troubleshooting.
This position is part of a team that manages many servers hosting a variety of database systems.

We are seeking an individual who has strong skills in managing Windows and Linux systems, upgrading, installing, and configuring application software, creating and managing system permissions, performing regular security tests, is a fast learner, team player and is motivated to succeed and become a data systems professional. Requirements/Job Qualifications:
BS degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
0-5 years of experience
Knowledge of Linux bash scripting recommended
Knowledge of Apache Cassandra, Elastic Search, other NoSQL systems a plus
Programming experience in C# or Python recommended
Good written/verbal communication and problem solving skills
Familiar with backup, recovery and maintenance of database systems
Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Reside locally
Job Duties:
Install, upgrade, and configure database systems
Perform health checks and responsiveness of database systems
Coordinate with IT on database systems changes
Assist in database systems troubleshooting and other support functions
Develop scripts and procedures to automate checks and setup
Creation of programs, files and scripts to support proper functionality of updates
Other tasks as assigned

Pay Range:
$52,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year / $25.00 - $43.27 per hour
