We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Sales and Service Writer to join our automotive shop team. The Sales and Service Writer will be responsible for providing exceptional sales and customer service support to clients, managing service requests, and ensuring the smooth operation of the shop. This role requires a strong knowledge of automotive systems and parts, excellent communication skills, and building and maintaining customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, listen to their needs, and provide personalized assistance. Offer expert advice and recommendations on automotive services, parts, and accessories. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

2. Sales Support: Effectively communicate the benefits of recommended services and products to customers, promoting upsells and cross-sells. Prepare accurate estimates and quotes for repairs, parts, and maintenance services. Collaborate with technicians, ensuring clear communication regarding customer concerns and vehicle issues.

3. Service Coordination: Schedule service appointments, coordinating with customers and technicians to ensure timely completion of work. Manage service requests, prioritizing jobs based on urgency and availability. Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer information, service history, and transactions.

4. Parts Ordering and Inventory Management: Identify required parts and place orders with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery. Maintain an organized inventory of automotive parts, accessories, and supplies. Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and update the inventory management system accordingly.

5. Communication and Follow-up: Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle repairs, explaining any additional work required and associated costs. Provide accurate and timely updates on service timelines. Follow up with customers after service completion to ensure satisfaction and address outstanding concerns.

6. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to foster loyalty and repeat business. Actively engage in customer retention and outreach initiatives by sending follow-up communications, newsletters, and promotional offers.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in automotive technology or related field is an asset.

- Proven experience in sales and customer service within the automotive industry.

- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and repairs.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Detail-oriented with good organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Proficient in using computer systems, software, and inventory management tools.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and professionally handle customer inquiries and complaints.

- Valid driver's license.
