Job Description:
Appaid is seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as an Application Specialist. As an Application Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with disabilities in navigating the complex application process for SSDI and SSI benefits. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive application calls, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation, and providing support to clients throughout the application process.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough application calls with clients, lasting approximately 2 hours each.
Guide clients through the SSDI and SSI application process, explaining requirements and gathering necessary information; such as medical history & work history.
Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on their application status and address any concerns or questions.
Collaborate closely with Intake Specialists to ensure seamless transition of clients from the intake to application phase.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, empathy, and patience when interacting with clients.
Maintain a high level of morale and energy to positively impact team dynamics and client satisfaction.
Adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures related to Social Security administration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Previous experience in social security advocacy, disability services, or Intake related field is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to clients.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation.
Ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of client cases efficiently.
Empathetic and compassionate demeanor when working with individuals with disabilities.
Quick learner with the ability to grasp and apply new information rapidly.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to ethical standards.
