Terra Universal, a leading U.S. manufacturer of critical environment applications and distributor of lab equipment and analytical instrumentation, with over 45 years of design and fabrication experience in cleanroom and laboratory environments, seeks a full-time customer service agent.
General Job Responsibilities:
Talks to customers over the phone, email, online chat or social media to resolve their questions or concerns
Maintains and updates customer as necessary on their existing projects
Calmly attempts to resolve and de-escalate any issues
Escalates cases to supervisor when necessary and appropriate
Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
Supports all departments and performs many job duties involved with company operations
Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support
Additional projects and duties as assigned by management
Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
Recommends items for sale to customer and recommends trade-up and/or companion items
Occasionally cover receptionist position for incoming calls
Skills:
Customer focused, detail oriented and effective problem solver who can independently seek a timely resolution
Proficiency with Word, Excel, E-mail, Web
Can type at a 50-WPM average
Ability to handle high work volume (phone, case and order entry volume) in a fast-pace environment and stay calm in face of adversity
On time attendance
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
Minimum 2 years customer service experience. 5 years preferred.
Bilingual language in Spanish
