We are a ten bay Automotive repair shop located in Huntington Beach looking to hire an additional parts specialist/service writer to join our growing team and busy, fast paced shop. We’re looking for an individual with some previous service writer/parts/automotive experience, customer service skills, and computer knowledge to assist us in the office.
Qualifications:
- Must have a clean driving record, a valid DL, and be punctual.
- Be a quick learner and be willing to be trained in other tasks.
- Must have strong typing skills.
- Positive attitude and willing to work some Saturdays/taking Monday off (five days a week).
- Must have a background in automotive (parts or service writing experience preferred).
- Comfortable using computers and answering phones.
- Must be very organized, time efficient, and detail oriented.
- Service Writing experience, experience with purchasing and entering automotive parts, website maintenance experience, and/or experience using the Mitchell1 system are all preferred but not required.
Duties:
- Front Office Tasks: Answering phones and helping customers both over the phone and in the front office. Will also assist with writing invoices/estimates.
- Parts and Service Department: Ordering parts over the phone and online by comparing prices from various distributors, and then entering the parts onto the work invoices. Will be working directly with the owner to write up invoices and break down the work performed to customers. Detail oriented and organization is key in this role.
-Misc: May assist with washing cars and will work on additional tasks and assignments as needed.
