Scope of Role:
The Service/Fabrication technician is a primary position at SIRCO Industrial, Inc. This role requires a candidate that can multitask as well as maintain a positive attitude when dealing with customers. You will be responsible for fabricating our water treatment systems as well as helping other technicians build the systems in-house and install them on customer sites. This role also requires the candidate to be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds and be able to present a valid class-c driver’s license.
You will be responsible for the proper placement and hook-up of exchange canisters, filters, specialty media, and filtration products at each customer’s site. Ensuring canisters are free from leaks, issues with water quality, and/or any other issues that would warrant an immediate call back from the customer. You will be required to understand each customer’s system needs and operational parameters while performing your duties onsite.
What You’ll Bring:
Ability to read and understand Packing/Pickup slips. Making sure that everything on the list is being delivered and picked up in a timely and efficient manner.
Self-starter, someone who can embrace challenges, promotes teamwork, and is focused and driven.
Basic knowledge and understanding of fabrication drawings from shop drawings to CAD drawings and GD&T.
An understanding of industrial plumbing and how to run PVC piping.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, processes and adapt to change.
Basic computer skills, including navigating web browsers and standard applications like Excel and Word.
Working with basic hand tools and PPE relating to plumbing/metal fabrication trade. (Grinders, skillsaws, cordless drills, etc.)
Must possess and maintain a valid Class ‘C’ California driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record and a valid passport as some travel out of the country may be required.
Is courteous, respectful, and patient with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Proficiency in GMAW welding and knowledge of how to cut, shape, join, and finish metal.
Proficiency with basic measuring and hand tools such as drills, taps, tape measures

· On occasion, the employee will work in wet conditions and will work near moving mechanical parts, therefore must have clear and concise cognitive skills when working near mechanical moving parts.
· On occasion, the employee will work around carbon dust, therefore proper
PPE for eye and respiratory protection must be worn.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is constantly required to sit, stand, bend, crawl during a regular 8-hour shift. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Also, when working with the trucks you will be required to climb up into the truck cab or onto the stake-bed portion.

Work Shifts: This role is full time, M-F 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
