Fairway Staffing is Hiring: Experienced Manufacturing Engineer (Garden Grove, CA)
Location: Garden Grove, CA
Employment Type: Temp to Hire
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday)
Salary: $85,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
Perform time studies and data analysis to drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
Develop Visual Aids and Work Instructions to enhance manufacturing processes.
Provide regular reports on Engineering and Operations data.
Conduct design analysis and calculations under the supervision of engineers.
Assist engineers with drafting and design details as needed.
Support company vision, values, and culture through daily activities.
Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action projects.
Manage improvement projects focused on cycle time reduction, defect reduction, yield improvements, and design optimization.
Support Quality and Environmental audits.
Lead Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) initiatives.
Create 3D models for new product development and manufacturing tooling.
Drive the implementation of new technologies in collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience:
o 3+ years working in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
o 2+ years leading projects with multi-disciplinary team members.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
o Familiarity with MIL specifications and commercial equivalents.
o Understanding of stamping prototype processes (laser cutting, wire EDM, shearing, forming, etc.).
o Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking abilities.
Communication Skills:
o Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
o Ability to comprehend and communicate technical information effectively.
o Strong report-writing skills.
Computer Skills:
o Proficiency in Windows-compliant software.
o Experience with engineering design tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
