Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Production Manager to lead and oversee the production process in our cabinetry manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for managing production staff, ensuring projects meet quality and safety standards, and coordinating with other departments to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate MUST have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of cabinetry manufacturing, and the ability to optimize production workflows while maintaining craftsmanship and cost control. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Management
Oversee and manage all aspects of cabinetry production, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating work orders.
Develop and implement production schedules to optimize workflow and meet project deadlines.
Ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes without compromising quality.
Monitor production progress and make necessary adjustments to meet delivery timelines.
Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead, train, and supervise cabinet installers, including cabinet makers, finishers, etc.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure employees have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment through leadership, motivation, and support.
Address any employee-related concerns regarding productivity, safety, or quality.
Quality Control & Assurance
Maintain high-quality standards by conducting regular quality checks throughout the production process.
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure precision and consistency in all products.
Work closely with the design and project management teams to ensure all specifications are met.
Inventory & Materials Management
Oversee the procurement and management of raw materials, hardware, and supplies needed for production.
Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Track material usage and minimize waste to improve cost efficiency.
Equipment & Facility Management
Ensure all production equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
Coordinate maintenance and repairs with internal teams or external contractors as needed.
Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce lead times.
Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and advancements in cabinetry production.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
Coordination & Communication is a MUST
Collaborate with design, project management, and installation teams to align production with project requirements.
Provide regular updates to upper management regarding production status, potential delays, or quality concerns.
Address client concerns and assist in making necessary adjustments to meet customer expectations.
Qualifications -Skills - Experience
5+ years of experience in cabinetry or woodworking manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong knowledge of woodworking materials, machinery, and cabinetry production processes.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and efficiency-driven production workflows is a plus.
Technical Proficiency
Familiarity with woodworking and cabinetry design software and MUST be able to read Blueprints
Experience with production management software and scheduling tools is preferred.
Strong time management and organizational abilities to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
MUST BE ABLE to quickly identify and resolve production issues while maintaining workflow and quality.
Communication & Attention to Detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring all products meet high-quality craftsmanship standards.
Working Conditions
Environment: Primarily based in a manufacturing facility with office work for scheduling and planning.
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk the production floor, oversee machine operations, and occasionally lift materials as needed.
